Neuromodulators (Tox)

Many are turning to Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport, or Jeuveau to reduce moderate to severe frown lines between their brows and to treat crow's feet. Using a tiny needle, this safe and effective medication is placed into the muscles that cause frown lines and crow's feet. It reduces frown lines and crow's feet by decreasing the movement of the muscles in these trouble areas.

Because these treatments are minimally invasive, patients can resume normal daily activities immediately following the procedure. A topical anesthesia can be used, if necessary. Results may vary, but can last from 3-5 months on average.

Following the procedure, it is not uncommon to experience some minor swelling, redness or bruising around the targeted site. Patients can take Tylenol and/or use ice packs to help reduce swelling and relieve any discomfort. Other side effects include drooping and swelling of the eyelids, dry mouth, headache and neck pain.
